Residents at select communities enjoy music playlists created from their personal tastes and interests, in addition to recommendations from family, friends, and our staff. Aside from songs, playlists can include audio books, radio shows, pod casts, faith-based teachings, and even personal messages from family members. The playlists are downloaded to iPods so residents can listen to and connect with the music they love whenever they please.
Music and Memory is a program rapidly sweeping our nation and is proven to result in numerous benefits grounded in neuroscience research. Specific songs can cause the mind to time travel, unlocking fond memories tucked away or milestones from the past.
